Less busywork. More business.
I'm a business and technology partner for solo practices and small businesses. I get to know your business and what you want from it, find what's slowing you down, and work with you on the plan and the systems to get there.

What owners tell me they want
- Get my weeks back under control
- Stop losing leads in my inbox
- Know my numbers
- Raise my prices with confidence
- Launch the new offer
- Stop doing everything by hand
- Grow without burning out
Every business starts with a different list.
Every business is stuck on something different.
For one owner it's time: the calendar runs them instead of the other way around. For another it's leads that go cold, prices that haven't moved in years, a pile of software that doesn't talk to itself, or no real picture of where the money comes from.
Most small business owners are excellent at the work and stretched thin by everything around it. Growth stalls not because the demand isn't there, but because there's no room left to handle it.
I don't arrive with a product to sell you. I arrive with questions, then build the answer around your business.
The fix fits the problem.
Sometimes the answer is a better routine. Sometimes it's custom software. Most of the time it's somewhere in between.
How we work together
- A first conversationThirty minutes, free. What you're building, where you want it to go, and what's in the way.
- A look under the hoodI review how the business actually runs: your time, tools, clients, and numbers.
- A plan built on your goalsPriorities in order, with what each one is worth and what it takes. Fixed price, yours to keep.
- Doing the workI set up, build, and fix alongside you, and stay on as a partner if you want one.
Who I work with
- Solo practitioners
- Therapists and wellness
- Lawyers and accountants
- Consultants and coaches
- Designers and studios
- Local service businesses
Usually an owner with a business that works, more demand than hours, and a sense that it could run a lot better. If you're the bottleneck in your own business, we should talk.
One example
A solo therapist with a full practice and no system behind it
Her goals were a predictable schedule, steadier income, and room to launch a group program. We started with an audit of her caseload, fees, and referral sources, then moved her onto her own domain and email, rebuilt her website with booking built in, and cut the tools she was paying for but not using. Next up is the group program itself.
Your list will look different. That's the point.
When you shouldn't hire me
If a tool you can buy off the shelf solves your problem, I'll tell you on the call and you should go buy it. That happens more often than you'd think.
I'm also not a marketing agency. I won't run your ads or your social accounts. I work on how the business runs, so that the growth you're after has somewhere to land.
Who you're working with
I'm Ryan Overton, based in Brooklyn. I bring three things to the table: a background in business and sales, a habit of organizing everything I touch, and the technical skill to build what's missing myself.
Overton Consulting is just me, so you work with the person doing the work. No account manager, no handoff, and no agency price for work that doesn't need an agency.
I take client data seriously. For businesses that handle sensitive information, I sign the agreements your industry requires, follow written privacy policies, and carry cyber and technology liability insurance.
What's the one thing you'd fix first?
Thirty minutes, free, no pitch deck. Tell me where you want the business to go and we'll figure out what's in the way.
